Why You Would Get A Tattoo
When you choose a tattoo make sure you do so carefully. Don’t rush into choosing a design because you may end up regretting the decision. When you walk into a shop you will have plenty of designs to choose from, but you might be able to create your own design. This depends on how much experience the artist has and whether they can do free hand.
An experienced artist will do a better job and use the correct safety measures. You should be concerned about getting professional looking art rather than any old design. Anyone considering getting skin art should go to a professional artist or you might end up regretting it.
The more experience a tattooist has, the more expensive they usually are. However, you are paying for the security of receiving a design that you will truly appreciate. Having skin art hurts especially the first time when you are getting used to it. An experienced artist will be able to reassure you and give you professional advice.
One thing that can be said about the pain is that it varies depending on the size and where about the design is placed. I’ve only ever had work done on my arm. I have a big lion’s head and two other small designs. The most painful in my case was not the first design I ever had because that was small, but the lion’s head. It took about an hour for the work to be completed. I was sore and bleeding for a number of hours afterwards. During the week it felt like I had bad sun burn, but after about a week that went away. Now I am the proud owner of some great art work that I will carry around with me until I die.
Going to a more experienced artist will certainly cost more, but it will also guarantee that your design is professional. The importance of a professional looking design cannot be underestimated because art work on the body is permanent. A professional will always use the correct procedures and use sterilised needles.
Although it hurts to get a design on the body you will have permanent art work to show off to people. Some people have received so much skin art that they have donated their bodies for research purposes when they died. Museums often look out for people who are willing to donate their heavily designed bodies.
You’ll need to take care of the art work after it has been done. You will need to apply special cream although don’t apply any old cream. The tattooist will suggest what to apply to the skin after he/she has completed the work. If you place anything on the skin then it could make the tattoo fade and you don’t want that to happen.
